A Cute Little Sweater (and a scarf)

How stinkin' cute is this??

The pattern is here, and the story behind it is here.
I always think it's nice to read the story behind the inspiration.

And what about this??!?

Can you picture this scarf in one of Red Heart's Team Spirit yarns?
I have some Black and Gold here- I think I may make one this afternoon!

Weird, but True...

Here's a special post to hold you over 'til I get back to regular posting...

These gems were found on good ol' Ravelry.
Hope they give you a chuckle like they did for me!

Sara Sach has lots of patterns for her little doggies.
My little doggie would NOT be happy dressed in any of this stuff. Sorry Sara.

Any of you trying to grow out that 'stache.. and sideburns, but need a little help getting there?
Louis Mensinger to the rescue!

Or you can hit up Salena Baca for the full beard!

Jody Hollenbeck has a pattern out there that would be great for a chilly walk home from the pub! Think it would draw much attention??!

There are A LOT more weird things out there- these are the ones that I had saved from a while back. If you are in the market for something strange- let me know and I'll see what I can find! As you can tell from some of these pics, anything is possible!

The Great PINTEREST Post!

Ahhh, Pinterest... I love you so, but you take up sooooooo much time in my life.

I sometimes think to myself, "I am going to take a little break and check whats new on Pinterest."

PSHHH! There is nothing quick about Pinterest.

My usual "pinning" time is at bedtime. I take my phone with me to bed and snuggle in for a good night's rest and open up the Pinterest app and see what my fellow pinners have been finding. I Repin a few of their things and then check out the ALL category and the DIY & Crafts category. (If I'm looking for something funny to send to Sarah I check out the HUMOR category!) After finding a few new pins for my boards I usually find myself with an iPhone punch in the face because I have fallen asleep with the phone in my hand.

That's when I know it's time for bed.

I have managed to find a few good pins before nodding off to dream land, and here they are!!
I'm not going to comment on all of these- just the ones that need it, ok, most of them.

This is GORGEOUS! ....and would take forever to get done....

ditto.

This ALMOST makes me want a little girlie to put this cute hat on! Anyone want to buy one??

Clothes

Who doesn't love a cozy crocheted sweater?

Or a cute little sundress??

Here are some of my favorite clothing patterns from my Ravelry files....

The first three are from Amanda Tipton- her Ravelry page is HERE. She has other cute patterns too!

This one is the Striped TShirt Dress and comes in 2T/3T.

This one is the Barefoot Sundress- available Newborn-6x!
And here is the Granny Square to Wear- customizable to any size! I made one of these for a friend back home and her daughter looked great in it! It's cute and comfy.
This one is called the Crochet Fairy Shell Dress/Top and was written by Dewdrop Designs
This is another super cute one for summer- or fall, with a little shirt underneath.

Here is the Girls Dress/Tiered Sundress pattern, written by Sara Lora. She has the pattern written for sizes newborn-girls size 8/10, so you can get one for all the girls in your family!

And now for Momma!! I love how comfy this Granny Shrug looks! By the way, the term "granny" is from the stitch pattern, not because it's for Granny! :)
This is also customizable and can be made any size newborn to adult!
The Spring & Summer Dolman looks like it would be great anywhere- at home, out with friends or even to work on casual Friday! It can be made most any size.

One more from Amanda Tipton- the Sporty Poncho is another one that looks pretty cozy to me! She has the pattern written for adult small/medium- but I think I would be able to change it to fit YOU!

Last, but not least- here are a couple skirts I like!

Everlaughter has the Oh So Sweet Skirt pattern written for Baby (3-18mos) and Child (2-6yrs). LOVE it!

The Ruffle Skirt by Alexis Weber is also pretty stinkin' cute- you can get this one in an size 0-3mos through kids 7/8! Awesome!

Great job on the patterns, ladies!!

If YOU are interested in any of these items, let me know by commenting here, or emailing me at the email listed on the blog! Look forward to hearing from you!

Remember- August 2012 only 15% off your order!

Finished Order

This was a doozie!! I had an order for a Counting Cookies Set, a Grocery Set, a Learning Colors Set and a group of 5 Little Monkeys. That comes to a whopping 243 pieces before they are all put together...

Here is a comparison shot (missing 11 pieces in the top pic)

And here are the individual groups--

The Learning Colors Set
 The Grocery Set
 The Counting Cookies
 and the Monkeys

Everything is all ready to go!!

It was sure a lot of work but definitely worth it! This order is going to a daycare in South Dakota, so I know it will get a lot of use and hopefully teach those kiddies something!

**These are all CrochetNPlayDesigns patterns, you can find her spotlight on the last post**

and
Dino Bath Mat

All of her patterns are great- pick your favorite and send a request my way!

Blankets

After that post yesterday I got excited about blankets again! I have about 4 of them on the order list right now, but I'm always looking for new ones- so here are a few of my new favorites.

This one is called the Classic Baby Blanket by Rayn Blair. I think it is PERFECT for any little boy or girl, and also would be a great piece to be passed down from generation to generation.

A friend sent me a link to a blanket similar to this one and I knew I had to find a pattern for it. Can't you just see your babe sitting on here poking at all those little dots sticking out??! So cute! Also, another blanket for boys or girls- just take the ruffle edge off and add a simple border and you are all set! This pattern comes from Lauren Brown and is called Polka Dots & Frills Baby Blanket

Lion Brand has some awesome free patterns, like this one called Delicious Colors. Pick colors to match your decor and you have a great blankie to snuggle up with! This one measures about 30"x35" when finished.

Awww, I really like these little loveys! This little grey bear was found on Etsy in the missybdesigns shop. It is absolutely adorable and would be a best friend for any little person! Love it! I would guess it's about 17" square when it's done- that's the typical size for these. I also have some patterns saved for owl and doll loveys.

Now on to the big boys! This is a very simple pattern for a Chunky Afghan Sofa Throw. I can just see this on my couch, your couch, my mom's couch... everyone should have a chunky throw, don't you think??! I found this pattern on Etsy also- in the MouseAndThimble shop. They have lots of cute stuff!

This is another chunky throw from Lion Brand. It says it's a 5 1/2 hour throw- but it takes a little longer than that- not much though! I have made a few of these and everyone that has them LOVES them- they are great for snuggling up with a good book. I have this pattern bookmarked on Ravelry and it can be found here.

This blanket is one that I actually made and sold to a girl I graduated with who now lives in California. I am excited for her to get it- I know her little girl will love it. It's just the perfect size for kids. Or grown up laps, too! I have made a few of these and haven't had a complaint yet! The pattern was a mix of Mamachee's chevron throw and this throw by Judy Hice for Coats & Clark. The stitch pattern was taken from Mamachee and the color from Judy Hice, obviously. :)

These are just a few of my favorite blankets, I have SEVERAL more bookmarked on Ravelry, Etsy and on my Crochet board on Pinterest. You can find me on any of those sites!
As always, I am willing to make any of these blankets for you - just let me know which one you are interested in and I'll be happy to send you pricing info!
